My writing has been inspired by many things. The most compelling factor that has contributed to the work you will find here is my troubled and twisted childhood. I have no intention of spilling the sordid details out onto this page, or any other page for that matter, but I do want the reader to have some understanding of what it is that drives these thoughts I find so compelling that I must commit them to paper. As you read my work you will, should you want to, be able to see the connection to the things that I have experienced. some will be obvious while others cryptic. At times you may be repulsed or angered that someone would write such words. What you might consider then is how angry we should all be that such things even happen or exist. Try to remember that the writer is merely relating to the reader what he sees. It is the readers responsibility to decide if he or she wants to see these things as well.
Another point to consider when you peruse my work would be the writers and artist that I find myself drawn toward and therefore have been inspired by. Hunter S. Thompson is, in my personal opinion, one of the greatest writers to have ever graced the surface of this meager planet. In a league with Mr. Thompson I would also put Mark Leyner, John Irving, H. P. Lovecraft and Isaak Denison. The order in which I have listed these writers is not so much a reflection of best to least rather a representation of my preference of style. I consider them all to be in club that has a very elite membership. I make no attempt to suggest that I belong in this club nor do I mean to infer that my work is, in any way, comparable to the work of these people. I do hope to one day possess some of the skills and talent that those who have touched me do. Quite simply that is my goal. I would like my work to give to someone what Hunter, Leyner, Lovecraft and Denison have given me, the drive to create original and inspiring verse. I believe that if you believe in yourself then you cannot let yourself down.
One more point I would like stress is that much of what I create is pure fiction and, more often than not, my point is to shock or surprise. My motivation for using this technique is to make the reader see how far my mind must be forced in order to experience this simple emotion. I have been through such extreme ordeals that in comparison most stories fall far short when their intent is to strike a chord in what I find to be absurd or stunning. It is this reason that my stories go to such extremes. I hope you will enjoy them.
